Las organizaciones de diaconía visitaron la Congregación Evangélica de Allen y Río Negro y se reunieron con autoridades de la Fundación Pohlmann Trabandt. En esta oportunidad el apoyo es para sostener los talleres de oficios.
El referente de diaconía comunitaria de la Fundación, Jorge Weishein, junto a la directora del Servicio Evangélico de Diaconía (SEDi), Pilar Cancelo, fueron recibidos por autoridades de la Fundación Pohlmann Trabandt, el vicario Jonatan Heffele y el director del hogar de ancianos y ancianas, Juan Grace.
Tanto Hora de Obrar como SEDi vienen acompañando de cerca a la Congregación de Allen. Hora de Obrar apoyó al hogar de ancianos con insumos de protección durante la pandemia de COVID y asesoramiento institucional vinculado a temas contables e impositivos.
Por su parte SEDi financia insumos y materiales para las capacitaciones en oficios que se llevan adelante en articulación con la provincia de Río Negro. En esta dirección, Hora de Obrar, a través de su proyecto de cuidado de la creación, planea apoyar dos talleres de Ecoleños y de huerta, una vez concluido el invierno.
La visita tuvo lugar del 12 al 16 de agosto y hubo oportunidad de recorrer la zona, conocer cómo vive la gente y dialogar con las personas que asisten a los talleres de oficios y residentes del hogar de ancianos y ancianas.
Las autoridades de la congregación y de la Fundación Pohlmann agradecieron la visita y la oportunidad de conversar y ser escuchadas. Así como también el apoyo de parte de la Iglesia Evangélica del Río de la Plata a través de sus organizaciones de diaconía, Fundación Hora de Obrar y SEDi (aquí junto con la IELU), para el desarrollo de su trabajo comunitario.
