BUENOS AIRES / Argentina | IERPcomunica – Mujeres campesinas, ingenieras, amas de casa, maestras, médicas, científicas, teólogas, pastoras, diáconas, catequistas, taxistas, enfermeras, gremialistas… todas ellas han formado y moldeado nuestra sociedad con sus dones, su capacidad, su inteligencia, perseverancia y fortaleza. Damos gracias a Dios porque nos ha creado a mujeres y hombres como iguales, a su semejanza. Y ese don creador de Dios, aún con nuestras estructuras humanas muchas veces discriminatorias, le ha dado rostro y cara a este mundo.
El 8 de marzo es el Día Internacional de la Mujer. Este día es un día para recordar con gratitud a todas aquellas que nos antecedieron, las que nos dieron la vida, las que fueron ejemplos e ideales a seguir y nos llevaron de su mano para que hoy estemos en el lugar en el cual estamos. Damos gracias por las amistades entre las mujeres que han sido siempre pilares y sostén entre ellas, por las muchas expresiones de solidaridad y acompañamiento mutuo que existen entre las mujeres, damos gracias por los casi innumerables grupos de mujeres que existen en nuestra iglesia que son motor y pilar de nuestras congregaciones, pero también sostén entre ellas. Damos gracias por las mujeres que con mucha fortaleza y sorteando muchos obstáculos y dificultades abrieron camino para que hoy día las mujeres podamos acceder al estudio y al mundo laboral. Lo que hoy en día casi damos por sobreentendido fue una ardua lucha que algunas mujeres pagaron con su salud y su vida. A ellas las honramos con nuestra memoria.
Queremos manifestar también en estas fechas nuestra enorme preocupación por la creciente violencia contra las mujeres y niñas manifestada a través de la violencia cotidiana en la casa, la violencia en el trabajo, el acoso en la vía pública y la más extrema forma de violencia que son los femicidios brutales de los cuales somos testigos. Como iglesia decimos NO a la violencia contra las mujeres. Como Iglesia Evangélica del Río de la Plata no toleraremos ningún tipo de violencia contra las mujeres en nuestra iglesia. Nos comprometemos a trabajar en todos los niveles y espacios de trabajo por una cultura de paz en donde el respeto y el reconocimiento de las mujeres como hijas de Dios creadas a su imagen y semejanza sean un principio básico según el cual nos regimos. Nos comprometemos a trabajar juntas y juntos por relaciones justas, respetuosas y equitativas en nuestra iglesia y en la sociedad.
Dice la canción: “Sobre estas tierras que el sudor regó por tantos siglos de sangre y dolor, Vemos levantarse ya de nuevo el sol, Porque Dios proclama su liberación. Cristo está rompiendo al fin cadenas de opresión; Llega a nuestros pueblos plena redención.” (Canto y fe N° 335)
