La Fundación Protestante Hora de Obrar fue invitada a participar del seminario de apertura de la nueva generación de voluntarios y voluntarias Norte-Sur, provenientes de Alemania. Estas actividades previas son fundamentales para comenzar sus tareas de voluntariado en distintas comunidades de Argentina, Uruguay y Paraguay.
Nicolás Rosenthal, director ejecutivo de la Fundación, compartió la misión y visión de Hora de Obrar, destacando el compromiso con la diaconía, la transformación social, la justicia ambiental, y la igualdad de género. «En estos 10 años nos enfocamos en acompañar procesos de transformación con el objetivo de construir una sociedad equitativa y solidaria. Creemos firmemente en la colaboración y el trabajo comunitario para lograr construir un futuro más justo y sostenible para todas las personas», afirmó Rosenthal.
Nahuel Gravano, responsable de proyectos de la Fundación, ofreció una perspectiva histórica y un análisis del escenario político actual en la región rioplatense. Su intervención brindó a los y las voluntarias un marco contextual necesario para comprender mejor la realidad en la que estarán inmersos durante su experiencia de voluntariado.
Pamela Peñin y Patricia Wawrysiuk, del equipo de programas y proyectos de la Fundación, llevaron a cabo un taller sobre educación sexual integral. En el mismo, abordaron temas como el consentimiento, las estrategias de cuidado, y la protección para garantizar una salud reproductiva y no reproductiva adecuada. Además, Peñin dirigió un segundo taller enfocado en el cuidado personal, orientado a que los y las voluntarias desarrollen estrategias para su bienestar y el de sus compañeros y compañeras durante esta experiencia.
El acompañamiento se completó con un taller sobre salud mental y la construcción de una cartografía de cuidado, facilitado por Martín Elsseser, responsable de diaconía comunitaria en Hora de Obrar. En este espacio, los y las jóvenes reflexionaron colectivamente sobre las preocupaciones, miedos e inseguridades que pueden surgir en su labor voluntaria. A través de la identificación de actores clave, como la familia, amigos, instituciones y referentes, los y las participantes pudieron construir una red de apoyo que les permitirá enfrentar los desafíos que se presenten en este tiempo. El taller culminó con la idea de construir procesos de salud mental y bienestar integral desde una perspectiva comunitaria.
Desde Hora de Obrar celebramos el compromiso de este nuevo grupo de voluntarios y voluntarias. Esperamos que el tiempo que dediquen a la labor diacónica en nuestras comunidades sea enriquecedor, lleno de aprendizajes y alegrías compartidas.
