La crisis económica sigue impactando gravemente a las familias más vulneradas y especialmente a las infancias. Hora de Obrar intensifica los esfuerzos para apoyar a 12 centros de día que brindan un plato de comida a más de 1000 personas.
La campaña de emergencia alimentaria, lanzada en mayo de este año, tiene como objetivo apoyar a 12 centros comunitarios de la Iglesia Evangélica del Río de la Plata y la Iglesia Reformada, que brindan alimentación a más de 1.000 niños, niñas y adolescentes. Hasta la fecha, se han recaudado más de 5,5 toneladas de alimentos, pero la campaña sigue activa, ya que la crisis persiste y las necesidades continúan en aumento.
En este sentido los datos revelados por UNICEF subrayan la urgencia de estas acciones. La organización internacional ha advertido que más de 10 millones de niños en Argentina consumen menos carne y lácteos en comparación con el año pasado debido a la falta de recursos. Además, casi 20% del presupuesto público destinado al bienestar de la infancia ha disminuido, exacerbando aún más la situación.
Es crucial que como sociedad reconozcamos la magnitud de esta emergencia y trabajemos juntos para garantizar que nadie tenga que irse a dormir con hambre.
