Referentes de 16 instituciones educativas y comunitarias, que alcanzan a más de 10 mil estudiantes de todos los niveles educativos, fortalecieron su compromiso, defensa y capacitación para la implementación de la educación sexual integral.
Hora de Obrar organizó la cuarta Mesa de Colegios Evangélicos por la ESI para convocar a equipos directivos y docentes de toda la Argentina en un espacio ecuménico que año tras año se afianza más.
La jornada comenzó con un devocional de bienvenida a cargo del pastor Javier Gross, presidente del consejo de administración de Hora de Obrar, quien agradeció especialmente el compromiso y dedicación de los y las docentes. “Celebro el encuentro en este espacio de diálogo y reflexión que, contrario a lo plantean los discursos de odio que clausuran debates y silencian la palabra, se propone salir al encuentro del otro y la otra para aprender y nutrirse del intercambio”, destacó.
«Estamos acá para que la ley de Educación Sexual Integral sea una realidad, porque si bien es una ley que está vigente, si no la hacemos, si no nos comprometemos cada uno y cada una de nosotras en nuestras instituciones -más aun en estos tiempos-, no se aplica.» Destacó la lic. Laura Varela, psicopedagoga del Instituto Alberto Alberto Schweitzer.
También contamos con la participación de docentes y profesionales de la educación del Instituto Evangélico Luis Siegel, la Escuela Intercultural Bilingüe Takuapí, el Instituto Línea Cuchilla, el Colegio Holandés, el Colegio Ward, el Colegio San Esteban, el Jardín Arca de los Niños, el Centro Nueva Vida, el Instituto William Morris, el centro comunitario Casa San Pablo, el Jardín Caminito, la Comunidad Educativa La Paz, La Asociación del Centro Educativo Latinoamericano (ACEL), el IEA Villa del Parque, Caseros, Grand Bourg y José C. Paz, y la Escuela Juana Manso.
Primer panel: «La tradición protestante y el ideario de nuestras instituciones educativas»
El primer panel se centró en la importancia de los derechos humanos y la perspectiva de género en un contexto donde los fundamentalismos y el cuestionamiento de derechos adquiridos ponen en riesgo los avances logrados. Fabián Dinamarca, coordinador del área de programas y proyectos de Hora de Obrar, analizó la relación entre el sistema educativo y los contextos políticos y sociales en Argentina. Señaló que la fundación del sistema educativo argentino está intrínsecamente ligada a las necesidades y proyectos de la sociedad del siglo XIX, destacando que la educación no es un fenómeno aislado, sino que responde a las demandas sociales y políticas de su tiempo.
Dinamarca hizo hincapié en que el sistema educativo argentino, desde la Ley de Educación Nacional vigente (26.206), busca construir una sociedad justa y respetar los derechos humanos y las libertades fundamentales y, en este sentido, la ESI es fundamental para lograrlo.
“Es importante que como sociedad acordemos que no es lo mismo reproducir estereotipos que cuestionarlos. No es lo mismo imponer roles, formas de ser y de vivir el cuerpo o la identidad, que respetar, alojar y acompañar otras realidades y posibilidades. No es lo mismo reconocer la dignidad e integridad de todas las personas, que rechazarlo y reproducir discursos de odio, reprimiendo lo que “sale de la norma”. La ESI contribuye a hacer la diferencia.” Indicó Dinamarca para dar inicio a este encuentro de formación y reflexión.
Por su parte, Graciela Morgade, vicedecana de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad de Buenos Aires y parte del Movimiento Federal por más ESI, y Leonardo Félix, capellán del Instituto Alberto Schweitzer, complementaron estas reflexiones al compartir sus visiones sobre cómo las instituciones protestantes pueden contribuir a un enfoque educativo que respete la diversidad y promueva la igualdad y la justicia social.
Segundo panel: Actualización en temas de salud y comunicación
Cecilia Valeriano y Manuel Curia de Fundación Huésped junto a Patricia Wawrysiuk del equipo de Hora de Obrar presentaron avances en salud sexual, reproductiva y no reproductiva en el contexto actual, donde el avance de infecciones de transmisión sexual (ITS), como la sífilis, ha alarmado a los sistemas de salud tanto a nivel mundial como en Argentina. Estos problemas de salud pública evidencian la necesidad de una Educación Sexual Integral (ESI) más robusta que brinde información precisa a estudiantes de todos los niveles. Promoviendo la prevención, el autocuidado y la promoción de relaciones respetuosas y saludables, la ESI ayuda a las juventudes a tomar decisiones informadas y responsables.
Carolina Di Palma abordó los desafíos de la ludopatía, el uso de dispositivos y su impacto en la salud mental, mientras que Romina Coluccio, de FM En Tránsito, expuso sobre las fake news y las dinámicas de generación de contenido en redes, destacando la necesidad de una comunicación ética y responsable para un saludable desarrollo de los niños, niñas y adolescentes.
Finalmente, Andrea Rivas de la Asociación Familias Diversas (AFDA), reflexionó sobre la diversidad, las identidades y expresiones de género, y cómo éstas son vividas en las comunidades educativas y religiosas.
Trabajo en grupos y reflexiones finales
Tras desarrollarse los paneles expositivos los y las presentes se dividieron en mesas temáticas con las personas expositoras para trabajar sobre experiencias concretas y compartir herramientas pedagógicas para trabajar sobre estas problemáticas en sus instituciones.
Este encuentro reafirma el compromiso de la Fundación Protestante Hora de Obrar con una educación que promueva la dignidad y el respeto por todas las personas, sin distinción ni discriminación. En un momento en que la Educación Sexual Integral celebra 18 años desde su promulgación como ley en Argentina, es vital recordar que el llamado cristiano a amar al prójimo implica también trabajar por una educación que forme ciudadanos y ciudadanas conscientes y respetuosos de la diversidad y los derechos humanos.
Agradecemos a todas las instituciones y personas que participaron en esta jornada, y continuaremos trabajando para construir comunidades educativas que sean espacios seguros, inclusivos y transformadores.
